HOW TO READ YOUR MAC LABELS

Ever wondered what all those numbers mean at the bottom of your Mac products?  OK in every Mac makeup you purchase check behind it, there is always a number or code typically three characters in length stamped on it.

WHY DO I NEED TO CHECK?
As we all know every makeup has its expiration date. Like i talked about in my previous post read  (here) if you haven't, So the earlier you know the better. And the good part of this is that this batch numbers can also be used to determine genuity of your Mac products, it's extremely useful if you are a Mac lover.

HOW DO I READ THE CODE?
Let's get started here, you need to pay close attention because this is very tricky but worth knowing, so i will try everything to break it down, the batch numbers are three characters as i stated earlier and on the pic above, detailed in pink (A84).

Code Guide
  • 1- JANUARY
  • 2- FEBRUARY
  • 3- MARCH
  • 4- APRIL
  • 5- MAY
  • 6- JUNE
  • 7- JULY
  • 8- AUGUST
  • 9- SEPTEMBER
  • A- OCTOBER
  • B- NOVEMBER
  • C- DECEMBER

•The first character is the production/batch code number which determines if its a,
First batch A or Second batch B...

•The second character determines what month it was produced, this is very tricky since..
 October is A , November is B, and December is C.  E.g

Batch code----Month------Year
A84 means  " 1st batch,  August, 2014 ( shown on pic)
AB3 means " 1st batch,  November, 2013.
A44 means " 1st batch,  April, 2014
A33 means " 1st batch,  March, 2013

•The third character determines the year it was produced.
